Just read this on the Public Scotland Contract services Website, It is an offer to tender for "Executive Car service with Driver" for the Scottish Parliamentary Corporate Body.

The Highlighted part confirms my fear's that these folks are sitting on their big fat Erses to much.

"Minimum standards and qualification required

Vehicles should be sufficient room in the back seat to allow up to three passengers to sit comfortably and carry out work during the journey. There should be suitable lighting so that work can be carried out without daylight. The vehicle must have sufficient space to hold luggage for at least three passengers.

There may be occasions when suitable vehicles will be required to meet the needs of disabled passengers. The contractor must be able to provide a fully accessible vehicle which can accommodate those needs in line with the services provided to non-disabled users. For example, a vehicle which can accommodate a wheelchair user without the need to remove the individual from their wheelchair.

There may be occasions where large delegates are visiting the Scottish Parliament. On such occasions, the Contractor may be requested to provide a number of vehicles or one larger vehicle to ensure all of the delegates in the party can travel comfortably. Larger delegates typically range from eight to fourteen delegates.

The vehicles proposed must have as little impact on the environment as possible. You should consider the Fuel Economy Labelling scheme when proposing the cars for this Contract. Vehicles must have a minimum rating of C or CO2 emissions rating of a maximum of 120 g/km. This minimum requirement can be ignored when proposing larger vehicles for accessibility reasons or larger delegates
"

Maybe it should have read: Large Delegations" but who knows :-k

Are they asking for different vehicles or ones which fulfill all the requirements ?
Only thing I can think of is a transit type vehicle with tail lift and extra lighting. Executive? Comfortable?

I'm guessing they are looking for Fat Boy size vehicles for the Mr Creosotes of Scottish Politics...and Vehicles three Lap Top wide so they can use them to hold their Gravy Train mugs.
