i'm refering to the mobile office, and some one using a phone inside it.

Surely that's not different than a free-phone in a supermarket?

yes i thought of that, but i think the difference being is that a member of the public makes the call where as in the mobil office an employee of the firm makes the call, so do you think under the act this may be seen as inviting or touting. :?

But my point is that you (the London trade) have 25,000 voices. I can't believe for a second anyone would ignore that, if it was directed properly.

Or maybe more forcefully.

All the trade can organise are 'drive inns' That last for a hour or so then it is forgotten and gets nowhere.
I have suggested many times that to catch their attention of TFL is to block their communication system.
Continued phone calls, Emails lots of them, and Letters.
Do this for a day and everything in TFL would get jammed up.

But no-one listens to me.

Here, if your a licensed minicab driver, and you get caught (a million to one) What do the PCO do? They give you a warning! Yep thats it a warning!

If you were caught touting I would imagine your license would be revoked (not suggesting you tout :) )

So until enforcement is carried out, the situation carries on unchecked.

Still talking twaddle I see

PCO Notice 16/05
Action taken by the Public Carriage Office following convictions/cautions for ‘touting’ Over the period January 2004 to March 2005, the Transport Operational Command Unit (TOCU) of the Metropolitan Police Service notified the PCO of 1004 cases involving convictions/cautions for ‘touting’ and associated matters. Of these, 379 related to applicants for, or holders of, private hire or taxi driver licences or private hire temporary permits. The Licensing Authority has considered the fitness of these to be, or remain, licensed. Of the 379 cases considered: 75 resulted in revocation of the licence/temporary permit; 233 licences/temporary permits were suspended; 27 individuals were issued with a written warning; 16 applications were refused; and, 28 had no further action taken as they had either withdrawn their application or it had been abandoned by the PCO. The Public Carriage Office will continue to review the fitness of any applicant for, or holder of, a PCO licence in the light of a conviction/caution for ‘touting’. Repeat offenders will be viewed more seriously by the Licensing Authority. Roy Ellis 11 May 2005 Head of the Public Carriage Office

Old news, your mate Ollie the Clown (1) posted that.

Hows your website going Edward? Quiet? thought you would be getting a bit old for that? Well so a cabbie in Stanmore tells me.

I might pop round one afternoon for a BBQ, i'll be sure to say Hello.

Do you wear your red nose and funny hat off duty?

I have been informed that the way this mobile office will work is by the customer entering the mini bus and depositing a pound into a machine and then entering the address they wish to go to and a receipt will be issuesed, a PH will be called and the customer gives the receipt to the driver (not me) and he will deduct it from their fare.
If it works it won't be long before the PH's start to rank up near the mini bus.
.

I've heard a few, but this is the best yet!

Slot machine booking

If you want a better car, say a Lexus, do you have to pay £2?

What about if you want Sussex? How much then?

So you can at least read - even if you choose to avoid taking it in.

Have you tried chemical intervention to help you with this - I mean WTF are you on about - ask your doctor for an anti-phsychotic like Olanzapine or equivelant.
