The above-named Lords give notice of their intention to oppose the Question that Clause 10 stand part of the Bill.

Clause 11

LORD DAVIES OF OLDHAM

THE LORD BISHOP OF COVENTRY

The above-named Lords give notice of their intention to oppose the Question that Clause 11 stand part of the Bill.

I very much look forward to hearing and seeing the Bishop giving the pros and cons of 3 year licensing.

I'm sure God will be pleased he is paying such attention to such an important ecclesiastical subject. :-k

Makes you wonder why bother with so much red tape being a taxi driver when you could just get your ops licence, an App and do as you please

Yeah and the stories will be out soon and people will wonder why they're not safe, government will stamp their feet and say we're going to tighten things up and the merry go round will keep going round depending on whose money they're taking and how bad/good it gets

That's why many of the existing firms are not pleased.

Only time will tell if the cross border clause has a negative effect on drivers.

I'm not convinced it will.

pmsl - anything your LA does in respect of licensing is now undermined because the driver will license themselves in an area where it doesn't matter.

BTEC, NVQ, more tests.......naa lets license ourselves in Hicksville and work away from there.
