Have you checked with the umbrella company (council)?

Handed my DBS check in on Tuesday.

Checked today online.

Passed through name check.
Passed convictions check.
Passed Children barring check.
In printing certificate stage.

Thought this was supposed to take 6 weeks.

At least you now have more time to learn the "bloody" pubs. #-o

Thanks Sussex.

No show again all day today.

I now know the full route for the test.

The hard part is the pubs and restaurants. Will do a 10 hour stint on them 2 days before the test.

The more PH drivers I speak to. The more I feel like they are seriously trying to steer me away from the trade.

I am KEEPING my job. It fully covers the radio, car, insurance. What I make apart from fuel is profit. (of sorts)

Plan on night shift Friday, Saturday. And one single full day/afternoon/evening shift anytime in the week.

I also wish you well, but I think you'll struggle only doing two or three shifts a week, even if they are the busy ones. If you are subsidising you're "taxi" costs with your day job wages I think you're on a loser straight away. But as I say, good look to you.

it does seem strange to be working in one job so that you can pay to work in another.
How many hours do you work in you "normal Job"? How many extra hours will you need to work driving to make any extra money?

I do 32 hours in the job at present. This covers all expenses and some for fuel.

If i can earn £4-£450 per week from them friday and saturday night shifts and a 10 hour day shift mid week then i am happy.

But if i only hit £300 then i am wasting my time.

65 hours for £400/450 per week is not a good investment of time, particularly when half of the hours will be for you to earn an extra £100/150 per week

65 hours is fine if you don't mind your kids not knowing who you are and your missus off shagging the meter reader. #-o
