Just to highlight btw.

I got zero reason to come onto a forum and make up random stories. Nor have I any reason to allow others to portray either myself or better half as bullchitters.

If you have nothing constructive to say. Then don't reply. Simple.

This will ensure I don't reply to the troll posts in return.

It sure is a forum seperated by decent posters and general boneheads. That's for sure.

Catch up with where I am in the process of this employment.

As for my lass being what you say. Don't be a dik m8. You come across as some kind of woman hater. If my better half says something. It is truth.

We are all not in relationships with skanks n Lady of the Night.

I tried to be tactful before but the question still stands. :-|

Who the fu*k sits in a taxi with the driver talking and texting on the phone for the entirety of the journey and says nothing? Oh and this the partner of a taxi driver with a 9 month old child in the house.

And I didn't call your lass anything but I think she has an hyperactive imagination. Oh and it's not as uncommon as you think, the partner of a taxi driver spinning exaggerated stories to their spouse of the journey they've just had. All to common in fact. :-|

theres always 2 sides to every story. but if your other half was genuinely worried about the quality of the driver or his behaviour you should lodge a complaint with the licensing authority.

even if there is no evidence available it will be retained on file and can and will be looked at in any future investigations by them

He then proceeded to drive the whole way to our house whilst either on the phone. At his ear with one hand. And also texting away whilst driving.

I think the above is bullshi* and comes from a woman with a hyperactive imagination. #-o Who the fu*k sits in a taxi with the driver talking and texting on the phone for the entirety of the journey and says nothing?

It is obviously something that has upset her enough to cause her to question/complain about the driver.

Let us face facts; their are drivers out there as described and it does not mean that she is wrong. As for her thoughts/attitude! Not everyone is 6'0" tall and weighing in at 15/16 stone, neither are they fighters or confrontational, they may be timid/fearful.................but it does not make them wrong.

As Foxtrot says register a complaint with the L.A, do not do it by telephone or email, as it can and might possibly get lost. If you are sincerely worried, then send a letter in a proper manner by outlining everything that happened - stick to the facts i.e nothing overly personal. Just to confirm that you mean business, send it by recorded delivery, it will cost you around £1.72p.

I don't agree. Undoubtedly, there were drivers in the past who used to sit with their phone to their ear or texting, while driving with punters on-board but not now. Yeah they might still answer their phone and have a few brief words or maybe even make a sly text at a set of traffic lights but not for the entirety of the journey. [-X

In my mind at least, this story only serves to destroy the credibility of the person making the complaint. It's bullshi*! And even if it were true, at least to some extent, how do you know where the truth starts and the bullshi* ends?

Oh and don't forget, it is her word against his with absolutely nothing to corroborate the complaint, should anyone even be forced to answer such an allegation? #-o

We had a driver here who was filmed by a student on the school run sending and reading texts whilst driving. The video was forwarded to the transport department at County Hall and the driver was removed from all school contracts immediately. This was in May/June this year.

I quite believe it. However, there is a big difference between getting caught on the sly texting and thinking you are getting away with it. To speaking on the phone and texting with a complete disregard for the passenger, who is sitting watching you for the entirety of the journey. That's asking for trouble. :-|

I don't think there is a driver out there who would not expect to be reported in the circumstances alluded to in this thread.

The problem here is, not that the driver was using his phone but to what extent the complainant is credible, bearing in mind, there is nothing to corroborate her allegation? :-|

The point is that he wasn't doing it on the sly. it was in full view of all the students in the car. These idiots do exist.

Really, so when the students were filming him he obviously knew about it and thought he was staring in a movie for the council. :?

Listen, I take your point but you are not taking mine. Your complaint was based on at least some evidence but in this case, it is merely an allegation.

Oh and this guy was supposed to have been on his phone and texting for the entirety of the journey. You have to ask, if the customer was so concerned, why didn't she ask him to stop using his phone or just get out and order another cab and then complain? :?
