So lets have it out in its own thread instead of polluting serious debates on other issues

IS THERE A GOD DID IT CREATE EVERYTHING SHOULD WE WORSHIP AT ITS ALTAR?????????????????/

Me i dont know but ones things for sure if its there hes not very benevolent is IT?/

every 4 seconds a child dies of starvation!

millions live in abject poverty , whilst a few live in obscene wealth

disease and hunger escalates every year [even FOOD BANKS IN THE UK FFS]

One things for sure i ant aving anyone tell me I CANT DRINK ALCOHOL EAT PORK or any other effing nonsense, mind if they dont want too fine by me, then i dont want anyone telling ABORTION AINT FEKKING MURDER, BECAUSE IN MY MIND IT IS, MIND I WILL ACCEPT THE OPINION OF THE POPULATION VIA THE DEMOCRATIC PROCESS!

All religions are of course corrupted the RC church has more than enough dirt in its locker, assisting supporting the ****'s, child raping priests, etc

Then there the C of E mob they even Marry men to each other ffs

Crudely put i know but i aint firing on all cylinders these days but heres your chance bash the poop out of each other on a specific thread throw the insults curse and abuse but please try not to insult others beliefs.

In my world if you want to be a Muslim ..........why not but dont apply your views to my society and that goes for RC's Cof E Methodists Budhists Jews or whoever.

God is a man made and there is no evidence to prove otherwise. In fact, our current version of a Judeo-Christian God only materialised in the middle east around 2000 years ago. Which makes you wonder what the fuc* he was doing when the Dinosaurs roamed the earth?

Yeah you have to be a complete fuc*wit to believe in such tripe. #-o #-o #-o #-o

And that's the whole problem, we are supposed to be tolerant of people's belief in fantastic stories without a shred of evidence to support such tripe. #-o Why should religion be given a privileged position in society? Is this not what the Charlie Hebdo massacre was all about your FREEDOM OF SPEECH? [-X

FU*K THESE LUNATICS THAT'S WHAT I SAY!!!

I think it was somewhat before 2000 years ago according to the old testament.
The whole Mary and Joseph story would make for a great Jeremy Kyle episode today.

Until 150 years ago or so, just about everyone believed in a god of some kind. Darwin did not have things easy with his theory of evolution.
it seems to me that religion is based on fear. The fear of what will happen to you if you so much as question anything that is not taught by that religion.
I prefer the scientific approach to this because you are taught to question everything until it is proven.

The word Religion or its modern day name of army is about keeping curiosity in check, as grandad points out but in a slightly different way, it's human nature to question everything until it's proven, religion has had control over the masses for thousands of years, control starts the minute your aware, your curiosity of everything is influenced by teachings of the religion your born in to, your led to believe, that's why I use the Religions for the young, the young swallow it, they don't doubt their elders, most never do but some seek through questioning, most of us who disbelieve in religion have proven to ourselves it's about control, about keeping the head down of the masses, some accept control as the masses of the West do but others take religion to a whole new level and see their religion as the superior, these are the brainwashed, the extreme, the similarities of how Religion works and how Armies work is obvious, their objective is control.

The question is?

Is control a good or bad thing?
