Stuart seems to forget when he started driving taxis in Carlisle he bought a F registration Fairway from me :lol:

and that vehicle was over 10 years old

Oh and Stuart neglects to mention he has the contract with the NHS Trust - its a condition of contract that he has a certain number of WAV's :roll:

“Our vehicles normally do around 45,000 to 50,000 miles a year so taking that into account and if you bought an older vehicle it could’ve covered something like 300,000 miles.

“Why would you want the fleet to go backwards? The fleet in Carlisle is getting better and better, the standard of the fleet is fantastic. We think we’ve got one of the best fleets in the country here in Carlisle.”


Quite - and when your renting out vehicles for £300 per week, why would you want drivers to be able to buy their own cheaper cabs?

Mines done over 500k and it's in a darn sight better condition than a lot of ones that are a couple of years old. The council testers even comment on how good the bodywork and interior is for a vehicle of its age.
