So are you suggesting that nobody should be prevented from driving a taxi/ph until the matter is proven beyond reasonable doubt?

No, but in this instance I don't think it right to stop the fella working, and if the judge was really certain of himself he could have added a bail condition.

Unfortunately it is one of the downsides of being self employed! If it had been a council employee who had such an "Allegation" made against them - then they would have probably been suspended.......................On FULL pay.

In my view if the Council want to suspend a driver - then there should be some sort of restitution. As outrageous as that sounds, no one should lose out until a verdict/decision is made.
