It never let me down in my last life as a Diesel service engineer (makers Man)

The new engines are a pig to get started, even trying to find the filter is a task, it's at the rear of the motor underneath the fuel tank.

Job for the garage then bless em

i did fix my turbo with Mr Muscle though, i deserve respect if only for that!

You can't fill the new style ones with diesel hence all the problems getting them started, here's where they're located right under the fuel tank. When you take it off you can't fill it up again with fuel to prime it.

Dunno mate, now you can appreciate the problems people have starting them when they've changed the filter.

The old ones were better, take the filter off, fill the new one up with diesel and re-fit. Turn engine over and within two cranks it was running.
