Me thinks, whatever you are reading Kaizer, you are either interpreting the condition incorrectly or it is unenforceable as a condition of license. :?

You are a tease Skull. Skull, does it fall within the licensing conditions set by Edinburgh City Council for a street car driver to use an app to get work?

I would presume claiming a job off a mobile phone whilst driving would be deemed illegal, PDAs are fixed and obvious but how do we police app use from a mobile phone :?:

Funnily enough, I booked a cab using voice, no pressing of buttons required

It's illegal to use a mobile phone whilst driving, the risk is in the hands of the App user

Well, you either use voice recognition or you secure your phone to the dash or window and press the button just like you do with the device you use at present, either way it's doable. :-|

It is not illegal to use a mobile phone whilst driving!

It is illegal to use a hand held phone whilst driving.

Don't know if they have reached Edinburgh yet but we have these great things that fix phones to the dashboard or windscreen, all the shops sell them here. They're great. And they are legal.

Another thing about apps is there is no speaking involved.

Your very cynical Skull. It was a genuine question? I know you will know the conditions inside out.

I'll tell you what I saw today. In the back of a street car on the partition. To the left a sign saying CASH ONLY, and to the right a sign for GET TAXI. Which one is it? #-o #-o #-o #-o #-o #-o #-o #-o #-o #-o

Well the way I see it, is that these apps are highly adaptable, it's whatever you want them to be, the choice is yours.

I lost my phone tonight in a coffee bar and never had the tracking app installed. So I sent it remotely via my google account to my phone and activated it from my sisters phone with an SMS message and bob's your uncle... accurate to within 22 meters, it's still in the cafe. =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D>

Kaizer, the future is bright, the future is UBER... Oh and trust me on this, apps are taking over... =D> =D> =D> =D> =D>
