So explain to me again why I need a local office when I could have been on the bloody moon for all they cared so long as they have a phone number to ring

You don't have an unlimited amount of cash and lawyers to fight stupid rules, that's why.

Very funny  My point is seeing as no public are allowed to enter my office and I'm not allowed to advertise I'm there are the public any the wiser as to where they're ringing?

But the council do, and the licensing officer can visit if needed, be difficult if your on the bloody moon:-) being on the moon he would have no jurisdiction, you could just give him a moony:-) is that a good thought?

You must be right, all the complaints about the UBER service must be made up so they don't need customers to contact them.

Ffs it doesn't matter where they are if they aren't answering the phone and resolving customers issues. They could be next door but if they don't answer the phone or the door what use is it

No need for motoring insurance either then based on the "Don't worry if there is a problem We'll take care of it ideology"

What a crock, it's not even what I said ffs. The point about Uber not answering their phone was it wouldn't matter where their offices where if that's what they are going to do. If they have cars and an office in Bolton but don't answer the phones to customer complaints what's the difference if the office is in Liverpool and they don't answer the phone? It is not necessary to have an office in every area that a company works providing they have good customer service, if they don't have good customer service they could have 100 offices it'll still be crap customer service. At no point did I say "Don't worry if there is a problem We'll take care of it". You don't have to based in every town to resolve problems. It's another of those restrictive practices that everybody likes to use when it comes to ph, what if the customer used a taxi app and had a problem, where's their office?

The difference is that if they have a local office licensed by the local authority then ultimately they will be answerable to that local authority. It aint rocket science!

The difference is a figment of your imagination, I never said they shouldn't be licensed by the local authority that they work in, be that 1 or 101 so ultimately they will still be answerable to the local authority just like all the taxis that work with an app and no office
