thanks to everyone who has helped me with data questions they have really helped me and my bosses and i can announce that my bosses are instaling coded data full dispatch syetem at the end of august this system looks like the system that my work needs

a spechal thanks to radioman who has been answering my questions
and others that have replied to posts about other systems

hi today we have had the office computers installed and we are starting our training sessions tommrow and next week the data heads are starting to be fitted to the cars

No new car for the boss this year then.

no he had that last year

training is going ok we are going live with the computer system on 5th september and the data heads will be in all of the cars by the start of october

Why are they taking so long with the installations? I should bring down my guys and we would do it within a week. Long time for installations for that sort of system.

Make sure they put all new wires into the cars and check every antenna, which should be tuned for the data channel.

the radio dealer had to put date back due to staff being ill

and they are doing 4 cars a day

Well we are doing a job just now in Birmingham and the fitters completed 18 installations today and will do another 16 tomorrow. (thats 3 fitting and one checking)

A few weeks ago we did 165 installations in 4 days which included full rewire, pulse wire connection, antenna checks etc. Full data system.

Total amount of folk 7.

We could do your fleet in one week. At 4 a day you will still be pen and paper at xmas.

I wonder how much your companies being charged for these installations? Remember the radio dealer will be doing other work and will not stop all his operations just for you.

i dont know i think they included it in the price

new base station is going up this week and fitters will finnish fitting new cars next week should be running in four weeks? but well see

So when it's all up and running, you should be due for an up-date.
