Haha you're last comment made me smile, you sound like one of the good guys

I personally wont mind working nights, i used to be a mad clubber for years, i don't drink now but i like the night vibe and think i could handle the punters, its having the barrier that will make the difference.

As i say its all hypothetical just now, i would never dive in and will suss things out.

If i did buy i also think it will be easier to rent out day shift, thats my logic anyway.

I've no kids, got my own pad and single so no ties. I also like my own space and working on my own, but i'm social also.

Just waiting on PVG getting cleared then onto MT Data, would probably prefer to work of radio as if i ever own a cab i would have one installed for dayshift driver, and sure i would use it at night also.

Cheers :)

If i was ever looking for a plate i would just ask around the ranks, i know a few drivers also and i'd get them to put feelers out.

Hi mate I'd recommend doing it a year before you decide ideally six months night shift and six months days. As with any job there are lots of upsides and downsides for example you'll probably find working nights destroys your social life but the money is good and there's no traffic to worry about. You'll need to decide whether it works for you or not. After a few months I wanted to buy in but thankfully I was laughed out the door when I asked the bank for a loan because now I've decided it's not really for me. Now going part time so I can pursue other interests. Also in a years time you'll have a good idea of how this whole uber thing is going to play out. Information I dare say you want before parting with your money.
Good luck with whatever you decide to do

Cheers Boab

Yeah i've just started to learn about this Uber, been reading up on it all week and its totally changed my mind now. If it takes off i think it could change the landscape, and not for the good. Never realised how big it was.

Will be watching things carefully now, and no rash decisions

Cheers :)
