Why would you think they can't? The drivers of our cars, although they have our livery on them, often get work from other firms.

Of course the 2 base owners may have rules that mean that you can't work for others.

I was going to offer a deal paying £1 per job, 1st come 1st served, both have tracking so can see where I am, it seems round our way the other firm must be busiest as i saw few of them on saturday on the rank, it was all indies or our firm on the rank and we were only 60% capacity, mind you we had 2 new base ops and no Mercury GPS meaning no tracking....I had some interesting jobs and journey times, you know the sort, 5 minutes to a booking 12 miles away across town

its illegal in Belfast, you can only work for one operator at the time and only exception where you can work without operator is when you work for some education board like school runs through school
