ONLY as I got to the rapid drop off entry barrier was it evident (by a A4 leaflet) that the exit barrier ONLY accepted £1 coins (not 50p's not 20p's) of which I had none but blagged one off the passenger, at the exit i saw the £5000 push button keypad/communication computer device (size of a telly) but couldnt comprehend where to put the coin....

its a small square tin on a post that must hold all of £500 worth of coins, looks like a cheap petty cash tin...

Thats been there for ages you must not get fares to there very often. Boy is fun sometimes in a queue of 10 to 12 cars sitting waiting while someone tries to work out how to pay their pound and get out !!

I like the notice that has been put under the petty cash box which tells you how to get a receipt. You have to visit the car park office outside arrivals before you park. now that is a brilliant idea but how do you get to the carpark office if you haven't parked? You can't physically do it.

It was coin catcher last time i went, how they can spend a fortune on the big flash computer keypad+phone box but buy 1 that doesnt take coins ie amazing

I 1st went to Castle Donnington aerodrome when I was 19, 1974, as treat for the end of our apprenticeship at the pit, a 4 engined prop plane took us all over the UK over every coalfield, plus he banked it round just off Blackpool like a Spitfire....
