got told to pick up at a address today at the back of the hospital, i got a proper address eg : 33 blogs street , now it turns out that the customer is a right greedy t*** ( i have never picked her up before though ) & gives that address as she works at the hospital & if she walks through a gap in the fence at the back of the hospital it saves her 30p, she also runs down the street if the taxi isn't at the address to save another 10p, so i turn in to the street, go to the address, sit there for 5 mins, no customer so i no job it & drive off, i am coming down the street & she ( as i know now) tries to flag me down, im a ph so just ignore her & drive on, 5 mins later the office are on the phone asking why i left her stranded& to go back for her, i refused as i had wasted enough time, i explained i never knew who she was & im not a hack so don't pick up off the streets , so now they are saying if it happens again i have to pick her up if she flags me down , just a bit hacked off ( excuse the pun ) the way they went on , at the end of the day i thought it was a genuine customer at a genuine address & the flagging me down was just someone who wanted a taxi, i told them im a ph so couldn't give a crap what they say, i don't pick up people off the streets! i detest this job , honestly

Twist the knife if she tries it again, stop, lock the doors, tell her she must ring and rebook and then you can pick her up

We have one like that. Only lives about 1/4 mile from the pub, phones ten minutes before T2 to save 40p, his house is right on the point where the meter clocks up another 20p so he gets you to stop 30 yards before and walks the rest ! AND asks for the discount :x

At the weekend he walks to the pub but going home jumps in and says 'far as you can for £2.40', so after the discount all you get is the flagdrop and he still has to walk the majority of the way home which would only cost him another 40p #-o

Busy or not, even waiting 5 minutes is too long. Then you get those who send someone out to sit in your car like an anchor so you can't drive off. Jobs like these should be charged more than the normal waiting time.
