You can't clear daily totals or weekly totals on any new installed meters. It's all down to EU regulations. More bullshit from the EU.

Of course I've found a way round mine so I can clear the totals both daily and weekly along with paid miles and dead miles. 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)

Which make and model of meter is that ? if i may ask .
There are some exsisting meters from the mainstream brands (Hale for example) which are in use in europe and other countries, they are what is known as fiscal meters and are for the tax authourities to download and confirm accounts .they either have a removable block which is removed and replaced or are simply downloaded and or printed .
I am not aware of any being in use though in the UK ? and as of yet no requirement for that to be the case.
Although many meters can be totals protected if programmed that way but usually thats for company owned fleets to keep drivers takings records etc.
Fiscal taxi meters may be a future problem for the taxi drivers have a google ...

The Taxitronic newest model with the blue LED screen. If you need to get into the settings via the backdoor PM me and reply with the way into the settings so the daily totals, mileage, paid mileage, dead mileage will all be erased.

That would still require the driver to be honest and use the meter on every journey.

We have two drivers on our rank, ( both in their 70's) who always forget to turn their meters off when empty. If the taxman saw their totals he'd have a field day !
