Appeal to taxi drivers after serious assault in Cleethorpes

Police have appealed for information from taxi drivers in a Lincolnshire seaside town after a 26-year-old man was left with life-threatening injuries.
He was found near the Post Office on Cleethorpes High Street at about 02:45 GMT on Friday, Humberside Police said.
He remains in Hull Royal Infirmary in a "very serious condition with potentially life-threatening injuries".
A number of taxi drivers are thought to have been parked nearby at the time.
Officers have re-appealed for anyone to come forward with information.

good luck finding any that will own up to being there !

Why don't they go down onto the ranks and hand out leaflets. If the newspaper website is like all the others it''ll take an age to load due to all the adverts.

we had a similar situation about 18 months ago with an RAF lad winding up dead the police never did find any taxis who would own up doing a fare to Wittering that night even though there were probably a dozen or more as a number of RAF lads were all in town that night. Whether they were Hackney or PH they probably won't want to be identified as Lincolnshire police have a track record of arresting taxi/ph drivers and putting them through it when there are serious crimes

you would think that with something so serious they might have a "amnesty" ( we all know ph drivers do it, i don't agree with it , but they do it  )

Not in lincolnshire with the Alan Wood murder the perpetrator phoned just about every taxi company in town and each driver who received that call was treated as if they were the murderer being hauled off for questioning. I was doing a trip to great Yarmouth that morning so another of my drivers had the phone. I think he said it was about 6 hours they were questioning him for !
