If you read the potential then like me you'll realise why Westminster's focus is on fracking, the vastness of renewable potential Scotland has scares the life out of them, the cuts in subsidies too green projects is all about slowing down the growth of the renewable industry.

Again if you've read the potential, too put into simple terms, 1gw generates enough power to power 700,000 homes.

https://www.quora.com/How-many-homes-ca ... rovide-for

Scotland's potential could hit 60 gw that's 60x700,000 homes, that's 42 million homes  Interesting to note, wind power generates over 30 gw  I'll take that over fracking wells any day.

So back to the original post  Who cares about oil, it's yesterday's fuel, it's interesting though that our wells still have 62% of all europes oil and 12% of its gas, hold on  who needs who here

One investor who does need us though is Rockefeller and with 50 billion to invest I think we will with open arms not say NO

Not with our government owned water will we stand back and allow fracking, you can keep that all to yourself's.

Is it worth the waste of millions of gallons of water and where in your neck of the woods are they going to get that water? Unless of course they start sucking up the water from the flooded areas but even that won't be enough.

A professionals opinion.

Very good =D> Having established that we are surrounded by sea water, now raises the problem of getting it potentially 150 miles inland to a given spot, economically :doubt:

The water used for fracking can never be re used, the pumped water full of chemicals could contaminate the surrounding land eventually getting in to rivers, streams, poisoning the land animals feed off, hikers walk on and then ultimately contaminating reservoirs, not worth the waste or risk.
