Just remember this........Whilst a camera never lies - it does not always tell the truth! The point being is that you will have images , unfortunately for you they are one sided as they do not record the possible obscene comments/gesticulations from the person behind the cam. Use the cam against her as the evidence is inconclusive.
good advice there john, also I could be fearing the worst case scenario and she could have not maybe had a camera and it is just her word against mine. I know its all ifs and buts but just exploring all avenues.
Until/unless they present any evidence, just state that a driver cut you up in traffic and could have caused an accident, this was only avoided due to your alertness. If asked - State that a few words might have taken place, at the same time adding that (no aggression/obscene language was used), I would point out that in traffic it is quite normal to point out to the other person/driver (as in this case) that they were in the wrong, and could have caused an accident. It might also be worthwhile adding that it would seem that this person has taken umbridge, and still will not accept that in law.......she could have been held liable for her poor driving.
IGNORE THIS FROM CABBY JOHN! DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES COMMENT UNTIL YOU HAVE SEEN THE WRITTEN COMPLAINT AND HAVE ORGANISED REPRESENTATION!
REMEMBER THIS PERSON WHO IS LIKELY TO PURSUE YOU IS AN EX COPPER

I HAVE REPRESENTED MANY DRIVERS IN SIMILAR CIRCUMSTANCES TO YOUR'S AS A CERTIFIED TRADE UNION OFFICIAL AND COME ACROSS MANY EX COPPER OFFICIALS WHO WITHOUT EXCEPTION WERE DISHONEST, CORRUPT, VINDICTIVE, SCUM, HE WILL TAKE GREAT DELIGHT IN REMOVING YOUR LICENSE FOLLOW JOHNS ADVICE AND YOU ASSIST HIM IN DOING SO !
i HAVE PM'D YOU[/quote]
TT, a little bit of hypocrisy on the above coming from you!
You consistently criticise drivers for not standing up for themselves/not having a go.......and then when they do.......you tell them to get someone to hold their hand!! Coppers are not necessarily all that bright, just treat this one with caution, and remember that no matter how nice he tries to come across......HE IS NOT YOUR MATE.
My experience of them is that they will try to put words into your mouth i.e. he might ask...how fast were you going? You might say that you cannot remember the exact figure but it was under 30 mph!He might then say....well give me a figure/a rough figure....was it 10/15 mph, 15/20 mph it is only to fill in the gaps etc - whatever figure you give him - he will find if a reason to hold/make a case against you, do not answer his way.......stick to non commital answers, no matter to how arsey he gets.
Personally speaking, I am confident enough not to need a helping hand. If that is not the case for you, (and that is not a slight on you), then perhaps you will have to go down the Solicitor route.......and that is very costly.
P.S. Reading your post (I started putting this together before you posted) I am surprised that you have straight away gone for a solicitor......unfortunately you will land up out of pocket no matter what happens......to me, that goes totally against the grain.
Anyway.......good luck.
