The question is to test your English comprehension, not your taste in handbags.

And the question is not what is your favourite colour, but which is your favourite colour.

I hope that explains to all you doubters out there that an awful lot of thought went into the formatting of this test.

I don't doubt it, but I am certain you served in the British Army, I'm also sure you went to school and can read and write in English, indeed, you will have qualifications to prove this - so wtf is everyone who can patently pass this course doing this course for?

Or is it because they are now a little red faced about allowing folk who cant produce certificates of good conduct to have taxi licenses?

Your cynicism is wholly acceptable under the circumstances of this particular representention of the facts. I actually served in her brittanic majesties Royal Navy for a number of years. However, only today, I complemented a Chinese student on the quality of her English. She embarrassed me beyond belief by telling me she was born in Cardiff (safeguard)

Mick Crow, managing director of Direct Cars in Lincoln, said the course would sort the good drivers from the bad, but did fear people may leave the profession because of the costs.

Bad drivers will defo struggle with the hand bag question. #-o

Ahh the yellow peril.

I cant see me passing this course with language like that.

My Gucci bag is black, and my Armani is a soft grey number. Knock offs from the dodgy side of Dubai. I can get you all a very nice mulberry bag for about forty quid, you get the dust bag and you can't tell the difference from the real thing. Off to Dubai next Friday, could bring you one back!

What colours are available :D

Are "Mulberry and Karen Millen" colours?

If not, perhaps you should do the course - if they are, I should.

I fully understand the drivers being a bit pi$$ed off about such basic questions being asked, but we read so much on here about the number of drivers who barely speak a word of English, maybe not so many of them in Lincoln, but in some areas I'd suggest the majority of ph or taxi drivers do not have english as their first language.

A mate used to take bus drivers for various courses. The first session was "fill in this form". One driver got up and walked out and disappeared. He turned up at lunchtime. My pal asked him what was the problem? It turns out the guy couldn't read! Yet he'd somehow got his PSV licence. So the company arranged for him to have lessons to help him with his disability.

If you know the designer, style and colour you want, I could probably find it.
