It's been dead.

We have been really busy. We have done more jobs this month than we did in November last year.

Is November a benchmark?

Apart from December's total last November was our busiest month of the year. We have beaten that total in both January and February this year. Our job count is increasing every month. Either there are more and more people in the town using taxis or some of the others must be struggling.

Not done to badly over the year, considering I had 6 weeks off, and a new engine to pay for, plus a head , the new engine had a hairline crack in the head, and it came from engine engineering Glasgow, so no chance of getting part of the money back, I had to ask my bank to get the deposit back for me , and they obliged.
As for the weekend, not bad considering half the Borders was in Rome for the rugby

I see. Last November was our 3rd busiest month ever after December 2014 and December 2015. Yes I know, at the time it was our 2nd busiest month. I keep records of the number of phone calls and completed jobs so that i can see how the trends are going. For the last 4 years things have been getting better most months but for the last year and a bit they have really taken off big time.

We went into a whetherspoon pub on Friday night - could not believe as to how quiet it was for the beginning of the month. I suppose that you have to take into account that children are still on Easter break - it is an additional cost for parents.

Friday night has become a non night around here, oddly though the week day work seems to have picked up and has more than offset crap Fridays.
