You become a forum administrator, have too many drinks, then become a little silly.

perhaps the other forums name has been put in the auto change list. just like if you type in a swear word on the list it automatically changes it to tut-tut, if you type in the other forums name it could change it to liarsforum automatically.

or maybe not....

It does, the only thing is, it does it several hours after you make the posting, then adds other things on.

Nothing to do with Dusty, it was I that word censored the ex members site.

But I find it strange that you can moan about words being censored for everyone on TDO, including as Steveo says swear words, but have no problem with Nidge changing people posts to make them look like they are taking the opposite view.

And why do we call the ex members site the liars forum?

Because they are a bunch of liars, who thought they had won the jackpot but found it was a p***pot. And did any of them have the front to say sorry for spreading lie after lie?

Did the fool from Brighton say he got it wrong for saying that TDO was owned by a sports lawyer from Manchester?

I could go on, but I will not.

Steveo is correct, the software automatically changes certain words and phrases, particularly swearwords.

GBC's post would have been automatically edited when he made is several days ago, so I'm not sure why he didn't notice it then.

Anyway, I've changed it so that some of these words and phrases appear as [edited by admin] so it'll be a bit more obvious what's going on.

For the newer members, what happened was that in the past there were several rival forums going, and we had links for all of them, as we still do for the two rival forums in Edinburgh.

However, the truth was obviously starting to hurt too much, and since some people in the trade think that anyone who knows more about the law than them must be solicitors (unless, of course, they're on the 'right' side), some people from rival forums starting to spread malicious falsehoods to the effect that this site was run by solicitors who were using the site to get work from LAs

So we asked for evidence of this, but there came none. Then they found the name of someone in Manchester related to the trade who they didn't like, then found the name of a solicitor in Manchester with the same name, and then posted the name and address of that solicitor on the web and said that he was running this site.

Problem was, the solicitor specialised in sports injuries, so there wasn't even a connection with the trade. Another problem was that we tried to contact him to inform him of what these people were up to, but unfortunately he was in hospital at the time undergoing major surgery. But, hey, these people wouldn't let the likes of that get in the way of a good lie.

So after giving them several weeks to substantiate their story, which of course we knew they couldn't, we banned them, and they set up their own forum. Since they continued to use that forum to defame us we set up the software to stop the use of this site to spread lies about TDO, and that's the reason for the current confusion.

So these people have gone now, despite several attempts to rejoin using false IDs and the like. But of course the truth hurts, so it's no surprise tha some of the newer members are attempting similar tactics, but that just proves how little in the way of substantive argument they have

just to put youre mind at rest i also run the same softeware on the realfastblacks site and thier aint no way of reading others pm from the admin panel thats a no no!
i also did an extensive search on the matter and came up with nothing
im not saying it isnt possible but if it is not many people have iether the knowledge the skill or the motive to do, so ill leave it up to you what to think
the thing is if people are so bothered about someone reading thier pm's they shouldnt really be on the net as nothing is trully secure.
and whats in these preciuse pm's anyhow are the realcabforces and co plotting to take over the world

Just remind me this is an internet forum for Taxi drivers? Sometimes I forget, and think its a rival multi million pound buisness trust.

As for the 'opposite view', you might have noticed Alex, not every one of Britains 200'000 Cab drivers agree's with your quest for complete deregulation of their industry.

But thats the great thing about our wonderful democracy, freedom of speech and opinions, even up to the point where people may acuse each other of telling fibs in order to gain their objective.

I see, and i'm sure you do as well, an awful lot of more serious things going on in society whilst driving our Taxi's, than people calling each others web sites names.

In fact we will do a test on this software, and make sure you got your moneys worth.
