Ive visited many forums around the internet on various subjects and many to do with the Taxi & Private Hire trades, many come and try their best to run a forum but most fall by the wayside, The Taxi Forums is a prime example.
There are however 2 things that seem to be common amongst all of these forums is that the usual suspects are among the posters on all of the different Taxi or Private Hire forums.
Now these people are one of 2 things they are bascially sad cases who have nothing better to do, or they are the people who care about our trades, I would rather presume the latter.
The second thing is that whatever forum they are on, the same old arguments raise their head and the same prejiduces prevail.
Their are a lot of things that can be acheived if the two trades worked together, but while we all have our heads stuck up our own arses others are scheming in the background ready to take the work from right under our noses of which the latest threat seems to be TaxiBus.
I think it is about time that the petty squabbles are put behind us and we use all of these forums to better our trades rather than belittle them.
One point about closed lists and forums, would you really want the general public to read some of the postings on this forum?

Taxibus was devised in the 1985 transport act after lobbying from councillors in a little rural town called Hebden Bridge, which I am told is somewhere in Western Yorkshire.
apparently there is a council estate called dodd naze where busses could not get up so they called in the taxibus, acracabra now buses run there and another hamlet called Old Town from first bus, who have interestingly cycle racks on the back of the buses.
Transport Act 1985 brought in the taxibus formula, run correctly as intended these buisnesses ensure both buses and taxis are viable in rural areas.
Whats your beef about taxibuses? let me say here and now run as intended there is no threat to anyone, but there are [edited by admin] thats abusing it like the taxibuses at manchester airport which in fact are one big con.
taxibuses run to timetabes on defined routes are a sensible economy and provide a service.
Taxibus Opperator to rural areas.
