Today whilst we were flat out I got a phone call
"is that E***** where are you"

busy working why

"you should be here at the funeral"

I am totally puzzled at this point "it's Anne's funeral "

"Anne who ?"

It turns out this was the next door neighbour of a woman who used to run taxis in a village 5 miles away many years ago I have never even met her nor was I aware it was her funeral but apparently I was expected to attend and after trying to explain that I was flat out busy and couldn't get away was told that I was a selfish and uncaring individual but in the sort language trotsky uses !
