Hi guys anybody on this site with sleep Apnea Licensing are playing Doctors again

As this is a notifiable condition I've informed the DVLA and as per my Licence conditions Council licensing

They have pulled my badge requesting a new medical and a letter from the lung function clinic

Of course this is not good enough then I have to be interviewed by them to see if I'am fit and proper

Surely IM not the only licensed driver with sleep apnea I'm fully in compliance with CPAP treatment

Advise Please BCB

You have done the right thing by notifying your council, however now your council wants evidence that your condition will not have an adverse effect on your punters.

As your council are not doctors they really need one to give you the ok, or say what you need to do to be ok.

I do sympathise with you, but what would you want your council to do other than what they are?

If you've got a cpap machine and are stable then you are good to go IMO. It's when people are in denial about Sleep Apnoea, they are the dangerous ones.

I think you may be reading to much into this. The Council may have the ultimate decision on your license but they would be ill advised to go against the medical professionals.

The question the councillors have to ask...is......would I feel safe with this man driving my family around.....
