ta, light duties for a few weeks

the surgery was fine, the ward was chaos, getting out took 6 hours, and they needed the bed!

I take it you were under a general anesthetic for the insertion? Well now you know how they put the stent in you will be pleased to know that removal at a later stage is by the same path but this is usually done under local anesthetic. Enjoy!

Get well soon driver. I feel your pain with the kidney stones, a few years ago I passed one through little Nidge at 5am on a Sunday morning, 5 days in hospital with a pipe inserted into little Nidge soon sorted me out. The nurses were OK too. 8) 8) 8) 8)

One of my drivers has just been through this ! VERY PAINFUL but the stents really do help its now just the wait to get the stones zapped that's the big worry I hope you haven't got a long wait

Hope you're well on the way to recovery now.

I haven't had kidney stents but I was wide awake, watching the telly when they did an endoscopy of my bladder. Fascinating stuff!

Following my stoma and proctectomy surgery, I have nerve damage and have to self catheterise to empty. It doesn't bother me at all but in deference to the feelings of others, I use a cubicle to pee when I'm out and about. :)
