it seems that there is a no holes barred attempt to scare people into voting to stay in the EU - personally I find this awful, scaring pensioners ffs.

Mass panic from the Remains, thankfully I think people will see through it.

Purdah starts tomorrow so the Remains cannot use the gov's 1000s of employees to research such lies anymore. =D>

I think that you are slightly wrong on that one! The "cannot" vote (I believe) only applies to those who have lived outside of the country for 15 years. Those who have moved within the 15 years still have their vote - a classic case of having your cake and eating it.

You got that wrong. Only ex pats who have been out of the country for more than 15 years can't vote.

If you lived in the EU you'd obviously vote for the UK to stay in, most of em are on UK pensions and run back for NHS help, they fear losing those

Quote:
Two Britons living abroad have lost their Supreme Court battle over the right to vote in June's EU referendum.
The UK's highest court upheld the decisions of both the High Court and Court of Appeal.
UK citizens are not eligible to vote on 23 June if they have lived outside the UK for more than 15 years.
The challenge was brought by World War Two veteran Harry Shindler, 94, who lives in Italy, and lawyer and Belgian resident Jacquelyn MacLennan, 54.
Mr Shindler, who has lived in Italy for 35 years, and Ms MacLennan, from Inverness, who has lived in Belgium since 1987, argued that the 15-year rule acted as a penalty for them having exercised their rights to free movement, and was an infringement of their common law right to vote.
But five Supreme Court justices - Lady Hale, Lord Mance, Lord Reed, Lord Sumption and Lord Hughes - unanimously rejected the last-ditch legal challenge.

There shouldnt be any proxy votes either, thats a chance to defraud the voting, especially in some communities where women are not allowed to vote, 1 card, 1 vote, at the ballot box

card only voting could stop all ex-pats not prepared to use the actual ballot box by returning to vote

The health care that my dad gets in Spain is quicker and as good as the NHS.

I might well be out of the country, and Mrs Sx will, so those wanting us to go will lose two votes in that case.

this is not as cut and dried as you think we are one of the most affected parts of the uk economy so would be more likely to be against but in many other areas of the economy less affected people are more likely to vote remain especially as leaving could create job uncertainty

I am not sure that it will make any difference to my business whether we stay in or leave.

The passport system worked well for decades - security depended/depends on it. To open the borders is complete madness, similar to opening every jail in the country.....and it is all going to be roses  Well! on the coffins of those that will pay for it with their lives because of it - and that will happen.....all in the cause of an (apparent) monetary gain #-o
