Are there any horror stories in Cardiff yet John?
It would appear that not many Cardiff drivers have signed up to Uber, on the back of that they are recruiting drivers from other Boroughs. Imo it will not work in Cardiff as it is not a wealthy City or with an overly large (population 330,000 ish). Sunday to Friday these outside guys are going to be massively disappointed as it is mainly students out on the lash, and that peter's off during exam time, and massively so at the end of their semester. The telling time will be on International/Concert days + the occasional Saturday when the City is really busy. Unfortunately our local rag is pro Uber, so I doubt if the bad news (and there will be some) will be printed. Imo Uber will work in very large cities such as London,Manchester,Birmingham, Glasgow,Edinburgh and say Aberdeen + one or two borderline cases, as for the rest - I just cannot see it affecting them very much especially once the horror stories do reach their ears.
As such I am not in the hub of it anymore (hung up my keys last November), but I will keep the forum posted if I hear anything.
