I have this card payment app i have just installed on my iPhone. It works most of the time. But am having problems understanding the charges, since everyone else charges more than this. Is this value for quid?

I was offered a deal like the following:

1. 2.9% plus £1.00 with a 1 year minimum contract.
2. 3.9% without a contract.

Payments are deposited in my account every 7 days.

What do you think lads?

Use the link below and you get £10 worth of fees credited to your account as soon as you make the first payment.....So do I!!! :D

That's the equivalent of taking £400 without fees.

2.9% is what banks take on card payments whichever payment processor you use. £1 quid is what this chaps are taking per transaction. Since am doing mostly Airports, I just add 2.9% on the customer or can absorb it.

If I do a standard Gatwick run £220. I pay 0.029 *220= £6.38 +1.00 = £7.38

This looks good for smaller jobs as well. It makes sense on bigger jobs too.
A normal regular run is £7.50. 0.029 *7.50 = £0.22 + 1.00 = £1.22

I think I'll stick with this guys for now. I'll keep you updated if they change.

What do they charge you for debit card transactions? The last time we did card payments debit cards were 16 pence per transaction.
