I cannot see that the hire company would let the car out on hire without having insurance themselves!
Is there any chance that the hire company also had some form of insurance that could be brought into the equation, as I would have thought that they must have some backup to protect themselves against the unforseen?
Proximo would have used a 3rd party to supply the vehicle. It was the 3rd parties vehicle and insurance.
Okay, I am thinking that when you/I hire a car then the hirer makes sure that you/I pay for the insurance in the event of an accident etc! Would they also have backup insurance incase of the unexpected, as is the case. As a company I feel that they must have cover in place! So, are the Ins companies conspiring (so THEY do not have to pay out), inturn trying to tag the bill onto A.N.other?
I feel that there must have been other insurance cover involved that is not out in the open.
