How's the Queen bee Alan Gladrags getting along, they tell me he can't find an administrator. You might want to direct him down to Planet Out or CC's plenty Queens down there.

Enough of all that boring chat, now what about Edinburgh? :D

GBC can't keep away from the place because it's so interesting.
:D

Just lately I've spoken to two of my punters down here about the trade up there and they have both said you guys up there do alright for yourselfs. They can't both be wrong can they?

Regards

JD

If doing okay is making the same money or less for the same hours you were working 5 years ago, then ye we're doing okay. Everything has went up except what your earning.

The last 6 months up to the start of the festival in August was murder, I've never seen it so quiet. You expect it to be bad after the festive season through to April but not like what it was.

It's picked up now though, the dark nights coming in and the weather turning to [edited by admin] helps a lot.

o.k. lets set some of the record straight,it must seem to cabbies reading about edinburgh taxi`s that we are all on the breadline, nothing could be further from the truth,we do alright!! but some of the postings from certain people make out we are stuck in a rut,it must be the same complainers who were removed from another web site.
what do these people want? they want more plates issued, takings would definatly go down then,or do they want the plates to resell them?
if you were to ask the majority of cabbie`s up here, they are content the way things are.we make a good living.

now wait for the reply`s and howls of dissent from you know how!!!!!

The number one region is very pro-active in relation to London issues.

They have averted mass protest along with the LTDA, as a result of regular meetings with TFL / Mayors office.

One of the more recent succeses was to make the City Police sit up and take some action against the number of Licensed Minicabs openly ranking up in Cornhill outside a club, touting the customers as they leave.

Under some recent legislation they are now taking advice to enable them to SEIZE these vehicles when caught, and if they are convicted and don't pay up, goodbye 'L' reg Previa.

Sounds a bit like information and consultation to me  8)

Nothing like an effective organisation run by knowledgable people to sort things out.
