Now tell me..."may not demand OR TAKE an amount more than the meter fare"

so if someone pushes £20 in my hand for a £15 fare ive to refuse the extra?

Personally all tariff sheets should also show the price per 1 st mile, and each mile after making it easier for the public to follow.
Like, example, 1st mile £4.00, then £1.50 for each mile traveled

or 1st mile or part of £4.00 then 50p per 1/4mile

I think some none station drivers have objected to the 20p extra cos to work the station is a choice and they have put a value on a station badge which is about 6k at the moment.They pay annually about £425 to railway company at least also.The increase will probably not come into effect if there has been significant objections.As for jobs going out of town I'm sure not many drivers will take notice of the LA.
