I didn't think things could get any quieter decided this morning to leave one driver on own as phone hadn't rung except for one cancellation he's managed just 7 more jobs all day

It's been a dead weekend round here too. I don't know what's happening but it's not good at all. I sacked it off at 11 last night I couldn't take anymore.

You don't? The warnings have been there since June 23rd. You just chose to ignore them. People are worried about the future outside the EU whether you chose to believe it or not.

Oh noooo - not more scare tactics  I suppose that it is nothing to do with the fact that every year once the children go back to school - it gets quiet. Quiet until, in our case, the autumn international matches/Halloween/whatever event comes around....and then Christmas. Unfortunately what you are witnessing are the results of the financial suppression that has been happening since (officially) 2008, (they were squeezing well before then). It will get worse year on year regardless of staying in or out due to corporation greed. Infact if the squeeze on wages caused by the greed/rude profits continue, from the companies/government, then less and less people will be able to afford taxis - nowt to do with Brexit.

The scare tactics are still in full flow perpetuated by the StockMarket, (with unofficial government blessing of course), when in reality - apart from a democratic vote that has not yet been activated.....nothing has changed #-o

The hilarious part is that we are still in the EU.

It's the price of beer and entrance fees to the pubs and clubs.

No people have got clobbered by the exchange rates on their holidays so have bigger bills to pay and are bombarded with messages about food going up fuel going up car insurance going up so are hanging onto their money for xmas

also most of the PPi claims have now been paid which was partially fuelling the boom and unemployment is rising so there are genuine worries about the future all in all RECESSION caused in no small part by the result in the brexit vote and yes I know it has to be negative growth in the whole economy for it to be official but our trade is definitely in recession.

The hope is it will be short lived and things will pick up after Halloween which is the start of the party season and xmas shopping

Trade reps who don't read policies.

And then moan about them 12 months after they have been implemented. #-o

A couple of years ago we lowered our fares and now charge what we did 10 years ago
Gets a job from a pub, bloke gets in and goes on a £3.40 journey at tariff 2  'Thats too much, I'm not paying that you'll get £3 and thats it, and I'll be phoning the office to complain' He'll be complaining even more now all the drivers know not to pick him up !

Later gets a pickup from a bus depot, I can see the destination from the pickup point. Conductor gets in, 20 seconds later I arrive at her house. £2.60 (at T2) please, hands me a £20 note 'I've got one of your discount cards' !!

Wonder why I bother sometimes.
