How can the companies and drivers working together compete against Uber. Companies and private hire operators are not interested in drivers, they believe compete is to lower fares, the driver is the only one to suffer in these cases, rental of vehicles and circuit rents never reduce only increase, self protection is the be all and end all of vehicle renter proprietors and private hire operators.
I hope all the so called self employed private hire drivers have lodged their claim to their lawful benefits with every private hire operator they have worked for over the years they have been in the trade.A claim must be lodged asap or you can loose the rights to your due payment.
These cases would need to be pursued through an Employment tribunal made quite expensive and difficult by one George Osborne naturally Union membership would greatly assist pursuance of such cases , and rest ASSURED any company within Brighton and Hove found guilty of Bogus self employment practices WILL definitely lose their operating licenses
