Food for thought, all licensed practitioners in the TAXI and private hire trade under the new IMMIGRATION ACT when renewing or applying for a license have to prove to the Council that they have the right to work in the United Kingdom.

The question asked is How does the Uber Company prove they have the right to work in the UK,every penny this company takes goes directly out of the UK.they should not be allowed to be licensed by any Council or licensing Authority any where in our Islands.

Correct me if I am wrong but aren't UBERs UK operations being run from the Netherlands? If this is the case then they automatically have the right to work or run their business in ANY EU country.

It would appear that you think a resident of the UK born and bred has too prove they have the right to work in their own Islands, but an American organisation has the automatic right to work here, where is the logic in that.

I am saying that it is not unreasonable for a UK citizen to have the correct documentation. Just because someone says they were born and bred it this Country, do we have to believe them?

I will go with that.
