diesel testing...

has it been serviced?
is engine hot?
was an oil temp probe used?
did it stand long before test?
what was the average over 4 high revs?

if its high, chuck some injector cleaner in, give it a damn good thrashing and a new air cleaner

Or take the old one out for the test and put it back in when you get home.

Regardless of the fact you have an MOT until February by putting your vehicle in for its annual test and it failed on emissions,it failed an MOT test and as such they have the right to suspend the license .

has it been serviced? --- yes it gets serviced ( although only done about 10k this year anyway)
is engine hot? ---- yes the engine was up to temp
was an oil temp probe used? --- dont think so, just the exhaust probes
did it stand long before test? ---- well not long but only used to pop to shops etc through the week
what was the average over 4 high revs? it was over 4 , nearly 5, 3 is the limit

if its high, chuck some injector cleaner in, give it a damn good thrashing and a new air cleaner

Your spannerman wont decide licensing regs though... you will need a pass for the plate but licensing may not know its failed..

i agree mate,( although he is on the ball with the rules, i would say 90% of his work is taxis & has been for years) once the plate runs out & as long as the mot is valid i would have been ok, my plate runs out on the 31st, yet my mot is 13th of feb, so technically i can drive till the 31st, as i wont be taken off the road for emissions, i will check with the lads at the testing station next week & get back to you on this though  need a newer car mate, but like i posted i dont see the point of lashing out loads of cash for the times i use it , & no idea if i can get credit, never had bad credit ever until the bairn died & i had to quit driving the tankers , do that clearscore thing & im at 455, ne idea if clearscore is any good anyway   like i said, never had a problem all my life till now so its all a bit alien to me  the only debt i have is my phone bill that's never been missed in about 10 years

Every application for any credit counts against you
