Don't be surprised if you get something through on the last legal day they are allowed to send it.

I thought they had to send the NIP within 14 days?

The court summons.

Not unusual for speeding or insurance information to be laid before the court on the last legal day they can.

NIP within 14 days, although if a roadside interview, the NIP will be verbal.

Information must be laid before the court within 6 months.
