So a fortnight or so ago, I picked up a lady from Waverley Edinburgh railway station. After an awkward silence I engaged conversation with her. she told me she was here for the transprting 2 premier, which was being held on this day at fountain park. I decided as I am a huge Irvine welsh fan to enlighten her of the facts of transpoting 1 and how most of it was filmed in Glasgow etc , she enjoyed the conversation ,paid the fare, then said I'm Rentons mother btw ,it was only actress Eileen Michelle lol. Talk about teaching your gran to suck eggs ha ha. She was well made up when I told her she looked too young to be rentons mum.

Tbh I am not sure as to why Trainspotting got such a good write up. To my way of thinking/viewing, it was more or less a documentary about lads from a down and out estate - probably typical of many places around the UK/World. I will watch the next one out of curiosity - having said that......I do not know what all the hype is about.

All comments from film goers to this have been very positive, most criticism has been that the accents had been toned down , still to see it myself though. I seen bits off it being filmed when working. There's always a biast and excitement watching a film shot where you grew up.
