Mate of mine always got brand new TXs, until he bought an E7 recently.

He has confirmed to me that he was the biggest numpty know to man buying TXs all these years, 15-17 mpg.

I've owned Austin 2,5 .Fx4 plus , Metrocab 1,metrocab 2 .Tx1.Tx2 series 1Tx2 series 2. Eurocab 58 plate .And now Eurocab euro 5 .I can honestly say the eurocabs are the most cost effective, efficient best cabs I've ever had. I only loaned a TX 4 for a day and was put off totally.Uneconomical, cramped and noisier than was led to believe.Hopefully we are all going to be running around in £48k electric Metrocab soon with our LA's financial help(joke).

The e7 manual which I had was maximum 42 mpg but around town was low 20s, just bought 66 plate M8 euro6 manual with a top mpg of 46, I was running today between 30-33 mpg but around town I reckon mid 20s, agree TX is not value for money, the new design on the m8 in my opinion is stunning, got mine for £40,750 great drive, has got everything going for it.

What's that got to do with fuel economy? That's what I was talking about.

My mates TX did around 15 mpg, i.e. no better than the Space Shuttle.
