We have a new guy here came across from PH, told the PH firm he doesn't do hotel pick-ups or school runs! Thing is, the school runs weren't contracts, just picking parents up to/from school with kids, paying cash. Now He's cherry picking jobs on the ranks all the time, telling them it's not far they can walk. Problem is customers won't complain officially and don't want the hassle. He refused a wheelchair job the other week but again, the customer wouldn't complain because the next cab took them. I had "words" with him, his excuse for not taking the wheelchair ? "I didn't know I had a ramp"! It makes a mockery of the NVQ/BTEC lark. I have spoken to the council and they have spoken to him over the issue, there seems to be a language barrier between him and the customers. ??? The council have said they will take action if they receive a "credible" complaint.
