Mine was a W204 estate, Guess they are little different,They were always fiddly, but never did mine seize up and lock...give it some spray, maybe that'll help.

the locating peg wasnt moving when the buttone was pressed, ergo the damn thing wouldnt budge, its out now by the grace of Thor's hammer...
