Late night hit and run in Dundee, resulting in death of 67-years-old male.

Not so obviously a taxi matter, but watch the description in the video and it's a potential scenario every driver is aware of.

Of course, given the number of pubs in that area and that a significant proportion of vehicles there at that time of night are taxis, then there's a reasonable chance the culprit could have been a taxi driver, although the one mentioned in the video was trying to help the deceased, and that seemed to be before he was struck by another vehicle.

If watching the video note that it doesn't mention the earlier bit when the deceased "just fell over" when he left the pub. The pub mentioned in the video is a different one a few hundred yards down the street.

Sad tale of events.

But TBH I’m surprised there aren’t 1000s more incidents like this every year.

There's a pub about 60 yards up the road from where the deceased was run over. A few years ago a guy was stabbed to death outside it after a pub brawl got out of hand. A couple of years prior to that he'd been on Jeremy Kyle as Britain's 'most feckless' father, having fathered 17 kids by 15 different women.

In fact the deceased had actually fallen outside that pub, but it was a bit further down the road where he'd actually fallen again and got run over.

He also reportedly fell outside another pub a couple of hundred yards further up the road, where a teenager murdered someone almost 20 years ago.
