One of my drivers recently crashed one of the zafiras. Aviva kept telling me for two weeks it was being repaired but then decided to write it off so went out and bought a new one to replace it. Phoned brokers (Swinton ) and gave them all the details to swap the vehicles over on the policy two days later
a certificate arrived BUT despite the fact that all my vehicles on the policy are hackney they have taken the written on one off and put the new one on as private hire  so phoned them up and was promised a new correct certificate by email.

Nothing has arrived and apparently there is a problem as Aviva are insisting it is a PH vehicle not a Hackney even though it was a replacement for a hackney so the question is

what is the best form of legal action to sort this out has anyone been in this position before ?

Sounds more cock up than anything else - maybe work experience kid who thinks that because it's not a black cab then it must be a PH?

Doubt it'll end up in court somehow. :)

How did this turn out in the end Edders ? The reason I ask is I’m about to renew my insurance. I can’t decide which quote to take. One is another Gibraltar based company (Calpe) and the other is Aviva. There is a difference of £170 between the two. I’d rather go with Aviva after the Enterprise fiasco but not if the customer service is bad with them.
