As for the plate, damn, everyone knows its a mere permit, indeed anyone on here will tell you if a council so wish they can actually take THEIR permit from you if they think your not fit and proper even after you may have spent thousands for it.
By the same accord you could always buy and sell council issued parking permits (now theres an idea).
Permits do change hands for vast amounts of money, whether or not this is bad for the public is the only issue we all seem to disagree on (except jimbo)

The Captain may not aggree with me on many things but he does have the power to reason. There is no mistaking his reasoning on your inference that plates don't sell for high premiums Jimbo.
