Hi
I am thinking of buying a brand new wheelchair accessible Taxi, I would like some opinions on the Ford Tourneo and Vauxhall Vivaro to help me decide which to buy, i will be doing about 30000 miles a year and intend to keep the vehicle for at least 10 years, Cheers.

Think the Vauxhall's are cheaper, but in my opinion all these vans are much the same.

Go for the one with the most cup holders. :D :D

I've been looking myself at the different options. Went to the taxi show and the Vauxhall Hackney conversion i personally think was terrible. As in my previous posts not a fan of the transit. But the cab direct conversion are unbeatable on quality My 324.000 mile E7 is still in perfect condition

Is the Vivaro built by Vauxhall?

The Vivaro, Traffic and Primastar are (or were) just badge changes...

Bit like [edited by admin], Pugs and Fiarts

Quote:
The Primastar is built under a joint venture between the Renault-Nissan Alliance and General Motors and shares its body shell and drivetrain with the Renault Trafic and Vauxhall Vivaro.

Quote:
Whereas both the Renault Trafic and Vauxhall Vivaro are available with the 90bhp or 115bhp variants of the Renault Nissan Alliance 2.0-litre diesel, the Primastar is only offered with the higher output 115bhp variant, badged 2.0 dCi.

Push the boat out and get a vw! Just think yourself lucky that you aren't in that position of having to buy a new London Taxi.

If you’re planning on keeping it 10 years I’d buy the Vito national ( the one without RWS) but don’t buy the front wheel drive 1.6 , it’s got the same engine as the Vauxhall (Renault crap!)
