Lincolnshire police, and other police forces have stated that they will no longer attend, or persue for payment, “bilkers” people who steal petrol from filling stations, by filling their petrol tanks and driving off without making payment. They see it as a civil matter.

What chance has a taxi driver got under similar circumstances?

Police clearly see thought crimes, or “hate” crimes as more important.

I for one will have to be careful out there, I do have a reputation for calling a spade a spade.

Walk into ASDA or Tesco fill your trolley with stuff and walk out, the police will attend within minutes.

None, other than to make a formal complaint to the IPCC.

It's what our country deserves for voting Tories and allowing them to cut 20,000 police officers jobs.

If you voted Tory, then you can hardly complain, you was warned.

Out local morrisons allows the police to use the staff canteen so yes a trolley load of shopping out the door and they are there

But to be fair Jimbo Bilking has been treated as a civil matter by lincolnshire police for 10 years and with only a skeleton staff round our way nearly everything is ignored including Burglary's car theft shoplifting

The only thing they do make an effort at his Hare coursing

what is needed is a new type of court where individuals can pursue criminal cases without police involvement then shops, cabbies etc. might have a chance of bringing these people to justice

It is about time criminal law was taken out of the hands of the police alone they should be an element of the criminal justice system not THE criminal justice system

If people vote Labour the country would have no money to pay for the rest.
