Customer to driver last night:- Why are you not using the meter?
Driver:- We don't have to use it after midnight.
customer:- I am sure you are supposed to, can I have a receipt?
Driver:- Have you got any paper for me to write it on?
Customer:- No, you should have a receipt with you for customers.
Driver:- Where do you want dropping?
Customer:- Just down here next to the taxi.

Looks like someone could be in trouble.

They get away with it so they continue.

Let's hope this thief is made an example of.

The customer, who is not a taxi driver, but her mother is, has the so called receipt and a recording of the conversation.

Our council has the rule that they automatically disqualify complaints that come form drivers or their relatives on the grounds that they could be accused of non impartiality

But your council is an enforcement free zone so it doesn't really matter anyway.

oh they carry out enforcement as long as it's from the safety of their desks or the CCTV control room
