Not really a trade story, more complaints about parking congestion on residential streets from someone who happens to be a cab driver.
On the other hand, this underlines the difficulty of installing home charging facilities if you don't have a driveway, or whatever.
So many of the guinea pigs in the likes of Dundee will have to rely on public charging facilities, of which there are relatively few. Nightmare.

Image: Stoke SentinelFamilies have told how they are being forced to park two streets away from their homes - because Festival Park workers are hogging the spaces.
Residents in Dundee Road, Etruria, say staff are using the area as alternative parking.
Now they are calling on Stoke-on-Trent City Council to take immediate action.
Father-of-five Shah Kamal has to wait 40 minutes before he can find parking outside his home - and has even filmed the parking chaos in his street.
He added: “When they park from the top to the bottom of the street, it becomes a one-way street. If somebody is coming from both ends, there is no way they can get past each other because there is not enough space.
“When it is school time, I don’t come home because of the chaos. My wife does three school runs every day and it’s a nightmare for her.”
The lack of parking means parents are having to stop their cars in the middle of the street to drop off and collect their children from Etruscan Primary School.
Forty-two-year-old Shah, who works as a taxi driver, added: “The children's safety is a big issue. The way the cars are parked means that, if somebody is coming, they can’t see properly because it is so tight and busy.
“The council said they are making this a permit holder zone, but they said they need to wait until February. Until then, we are going to live in a nightmare.”
The lack of space to park his car means Shah’s mum - who is in her 80s and has walking difficulties - has to cross the road to get to his house, which takes her 20 minutes.
Other residents of Dundee Road have also expressed their frustration.
Paul Powlesland, aged 33, said: “I’ve got a child with ADHD who is not medicated so, if I’m parked on the other side of the road, it’s more difficult for us to get in the car when we are going somewhere.”
Neighbour Muhammad Ramzan, aged 47, added: "I have been living here for 20 years and I’ve never seen it like this before.
“Parents can’t find a parking space when they collect their kids from school and drop them off. The situation is getting worse and worse.”
Thirty-three-year-old Robert Ball says the Festival Park workers are ‘making life a living hell’ for residents.
Muhammad Yasir, aged 37, said: “It makes me really angry. When my children cross the roads, I’m always worried for their safety.
“I don’t mind paying £100-a-year, so long as I have parking outside my house. It’s getting harder and harder for everybody on Dundee Road.”
After a consultation with residents, the council has proposed a permit parking zone for the area.
It would encompass Belmont Road, Dundee Road, Ladysmith Road, Kimberley Road and Pretoria Road.
There will also be one-way traffic systems in both Dundee Road and Ladysmith Road, along with humps.
Councillor Daniel Jellyman, cabinet member for infrastructure, said: “The safety of motorists and pedestrians will always be one of the council’s top priorities.
“Taking all of the views into account, we have drawn up a road safety and improvement scheme which has overwhelming support from the community and we hope to start work early next year.”
