So one of the other local firms that for ages has had too many drivers and not enough work is starting to implode one of their drivers has started with me as of yesterday another 4 left a month ago taking one of the biggest contracts with them and tonight another driver phoned me after a job having quit with them

10 minutes later the boss phones me up and threatens to steal 5 of my drivers if I don't agree to not take on any of his

Then he tells me he's going to cut his board rent to £15 a week to tempt them to come and to slash his fares by about 30 percent  which apparently will get them all flocking to work for him  and take all the trade

He then offers me a fairly hefty wedge of cash to buy me out and in the same sentence threatens to poach all my drivers if I don't agree to steer clear of his drivers.

I reminded him that his drivers approached me and that it is a free country

clearly he's about as happy as welsh rugby fan today

So he thinks drivers will flood to him if he reduces their income per job by 30%.

Can't work out why the fella is struggling. :-k

They are your customers for a reason, don't worry too much about it.
